Epoxol® EP159

Plasticizer / Coalescing Agent

EPOXOL® EP159 is a bio-based plasticizer and ultra-low VOC coalescent. It exhibits good compatibility with a variety of chemistries, has non-fugitive properties and ultra-low VOCs. EPOXOL® EP159 is an excellent, non-hazardous alternative to phthalate, benzoate and citrate-ester plasticizer applications including paints and coatings, caulks, sealants and adhesives. It shows good stability and block resistance/dirt pick-up. EPOXOL® EP159 has a high bio-based content and is an excellent choice for renewable formulations and low VOC systems.

Functions & Benefits

EPOXOL® EP159 is a bio-based coalescing agent and plasticizer. It is benzyl-modified and exhibits excellent compatibility to a variety of chemistries. Its good solvency, structure and hydrophobicity makes it an excellent option as an ultra-low VOC coalescent in paints and coatings and plasticizer in caulks, sealants and related chemistries.
