Epoxol® EP185

Epoxy Diluent

EPOXOL® EP185 is a bio-based benzyl-modified functional epoxy diluent. It exhibits excellent compatibility with liquid epoxy resins and is extremely hydrophobic. EPOXOL® EP185 improves toughness and may improve chemical and water resistance compared to other epoxy diluents. It is non-chain terminating when used as a modifier in BPA, BPF and Novolac epoxies crosslinked with a variety of chemistries. Applications include epoxy coatings, flooring, potting compounds, laminates and architectural products.

Functions & Benefits

EPOXOL® EP185 is a benzyl-modified functional epoxy diluent. It is 100% solids, provides excellent viscosity reduction and improves the overall toughness (abrasion resistance, impact resistance and flexibility) compared to traditional glycidyl ether diluents. EPOXOL® EP185 is non-chain terminating and may provide improved moisture resistant properties.
